“Learning from the Distanced Church” Dr. Julia Upton, RSM

When churches across the United States were closed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic communities quickly used other ways of reaching members of their congregations. Live streaming in simple yet innovative ways met the needs of many, but also gave rise to questions. Can virtual presence be real presence? What will “normal” be like once the crisis passes? Should live streaming continue? This presentation will consider those questions and others—learning from the distanced church
