Glastonbury Abbey is an independent monastery that exists on its own, through the generous support of our friends. We rely on your support to continue our mission of prayer and hospitality.
The monks are deeply grateful for all contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. We are a non-profit, religious institution. Our tax id number is 04-2308718.
Support Our Spiritual Enrichment Programs
These programs are offered by the Glastonbury Abbey Institute and Listening to Other Voices interfaith lecture series, which is an extension of the rich Benedictine monastic teaching tradition found at the Abbey. As a spiritual resource for lifelong learning, we invite all people from diverse faith and cultural traditions to explore and deepen their faith and knowledge. Memorial and Gifts in Honor
Gifts made in memory of a person or in honor of someone are a meaningful way to remember or thank a loved one. We will inform the honoree or the family of the deceased of your thoughtfulness.
Bequests
When you write your will, it is your privilege to distribute your personal assets as you wish. The monks are grateful that several people have remembered the Abbey through their wills. Other Ways to Give: Stock, IRA's, Life Insurance, etc.
Gifts to the monks of stock or mutual funds are gratefully accepted and may provide tax benefits for you. You may also make a tax-free donation of your IRA or from your donor advised fund. Please contact us if you are interested in making a gift of this type.
Gifts-in-kind
In-kind donations are usually tangible assets -- such as a house or property, car, furniture, etc. -- that you donate to the Abbey. We are happy to discuss this type of donation with you at any time!
